So I wished him the best in his journey with people he didn’t have to change for, and I felt relieved it ended sooner rather than later. His reasoning was really confusing, but then I realized it was because he was the same as his friends. I asked if he thought a spark was needed for a relationship, and he answered no. He proceeds to say that he does not feel a spark between us anymore, and he realized that I was really mature for my age. He said he wanted to cancel the dinner, but he didn’t because he wanted to confirm something. However, as soon as we arrived to my place, he spills the tea. During the dinner we did not talk much because I thought he was tired from work, and I was okay with sitting and eating in silence. Our last dinner together had the intention of celebrating my birthday. But as you know from the title, we did not. The honeymoon period between us was coming to an end, but I was still hopeful we could get through this busy period. Then as life becomes, we got busy with school and work. I honestly thought that these people were friends with each other because they didn’t have to grow up when they were with each other, but based on a value the two of us shared and the conversations we had, I had hope he was different from them. I continued to date him, and he continued to be friends with them. So I decided to get therapy again to help process, learn, and grow from everything that happened. It wasn’t very productive, and all I got was that our relationship was toxic, I haven’t changed from high school, and I’m manipulative. Then I had one final call with my high school now former friend. ![]() So I left that discord channel, and I decided to focus on him. But I was met with rejection, I was told I should’ve taken a hint during the trip, and I fucked up my chance at proving my worth to be in the group. I tried to take responsibility for my actions by apologizing and opening up to conversation. They called me a slut, a person that plays the victim, and other hurtful things. I apologized, but it was met with an “I don’t care if you two date.” Then I find out from the guy I’m now dating that the group hated me. Like I feared, she felt betrayed by my actions. Then came the conversation with my high school friend. Plus, I was gonna start dating a guy I was interested in. ![]() I was feeling good, as I thought we all had lots of fun. I was convinced while drunk that he had no interest in me, but that changed after we both woke up at the same time to drink water. Honestly, I didn’t have much experience with my drunken state, so I did not expect that when I chose not to control my drinking alongside everyone else during the trip, I would be flirting with the guy I had an interest in. ![]() But then I got drunk during a friends trip at the start of January. The feelings started to grow a bit more the next we all hung out, but I was feeling like I would be disrespecting my high school friend if I pursued him. Then I went indoor rock climbing with two of the guys from the group, and I started to develop a romantic interest in one of them due to us clicking with other similar interests and personal similarities. I meet the group a second time, and I still felt like I was enjoying spending time with them. I enjoyed their company, and I started to feel like I was becoming friends with everyone. We get sushi, and we chat about random things. Without her might I add because she lives in a different city. I eventually meet her junior high friends in our hometown. We had similar interests in anime, gaming, eating food etc, and I was happy my high school friend had a safe space with them. I join the server, and I think I get along with everyone relatively well. The whole story starts when my high school friend invites me to a discord server of their junior high friends.

He took over Sunnyside, turning it into a place where only some toys got the privilege of being played with by nicer kids in the Butterfly Room while the rest, such as Andy's toys, were subjected to being chewed, kicked, and drooled on by untamed toddlers in the Caterpillar Room. Sunnyside Daycare was once a great place for toys to be played with until Lotso arrived after being replaced by his original owner, Daisy. I seriously doubt there will be a more hilarious and heartfelt blockbuster all summer.“ Sunnyside is a place of ruin and despair, ruled by an evil bear who smells of strawberries!” ― Mr. So now you're abandoned and redundant, wondering whether it's OK to go see the latest Pixar without a youngster in hand. After all, it's the older folk who are left behind, like Woody, when the kids head off to college. Thrilling enough to goose smaller kids, the film is more likely to give sleepless nights to their parents. ![]() Lotso's wicked plan? To confine the new guys to the toddler room, a charnel house of free play just a short hop from the landfill.Ī great escape movie, "Toy Story 3" funnels the series' abiding separation anxiety into a succession of ingenious feints and evasions, climaxing in an apocalyptic vision of the gaping inferno. Loveable, huggable Lotso makes a terrifically malignant bad guy, a tin-pot dictator whose loathsome lackeys include a baby with a beady eye and a head capable of 360 degree rotations right out of "The Exorcist" a scary cymbal monkey who doubles as an alarm system and - yuck - a Ken doll. It's at this point that a slow-starting story hits its stride. Initially the idea of all-day play seems too good to be true, but Sunnyside has a dark side: it's "a place of ruin and despair", a pre-kindie pastel-colored gulag presided over by Lotso (Ned Beatty), an avuncular pink teddy bear who smells of strawberries (so we're told, the movie is discreetly 3D but not in smell-o-vision). His mom wants his room cleared, and a misunderstanding consigns the toys to Sunnyside Daycare. In "Toy Story 3", Woody and Buzz (voiced by Tom Hanks and Tim Allen, as always) remain unchanged, as good as new in fact, but their owner, Andy, is 17 now and moving on to college. Maybe more so, now that a generation of kids have grown up with these characters, and, in some cases, probably have grown out of them. It was "Toy Story" that started Pixar's remarkable run 15 years ago, but the angsty devotion of Andy's cowboy doll and his friends (a slinky dog, a cowardly T Rex and a piggy bank named Hamm among them) as they await their inevitable retirement remains as poignant today as it did then. (Not to say there aren't exceptions.)īut in any case, conventional wisdom never seems to apply to Pixar, the digital animation giant that only ever seems to produce winners: "WALL-E," "Cars," "Up" and "Monsters, Inc." to name just a few. The new 3D-enabled products and services are expected to be available this summer. In addition, the RealD Format will be featured in Roxio consumer software applications for the creation and consumption of 3D quality home movies. Once titles become available for online distribution, the RealD Format will be used to deliver stereoscopic 3D entertainment directly to connected consumer electronics devices. There are also global content-delete and ignore-device options. Settings are minimal: you can rename the phone, choose whether to auto-sync on connection (a Connector icon is added to the menu bar at the top of the screen), whether to pull in content from the phone to the Mac, whether photos in iPhoto should be resized before they're transferred to the handset, and whether music information from the Zune service should be synced. The UI of the Connector is very "Apple", with an iTunes-like capacity bar running along the bottom of the display showing you how much space is left on your smartphone and how much is taken up by each category of content. There isn't even a way to preview content stored on the phone. Finally there's the option to browse the Windows Phone 7 itself, though beyond deleting items from the list of photos and video, there's nothing you can actually do from here. Alternatively syncing for each category can be turned off altogether. Movies & TV shows – again, as long as they're not DRM protected – can be individually selected, as can podcasts. For photos & video, you can choose whether or not to pull video content down to the phone, and then select photos by event, album or iPhoto-recognized faces. There's a fair degree of granularity in what you can select to sync, too music, for instance, can be selected by playlist, genre or artist (or indeed all of your content, minus anything iTunes protected that Windows Phone 7 can't play, and which won't be listed). Meanwhile the Connector app ties into iTunes for music, photos, video, movies & TV shows, and podcasts. Plug in a Windows Phone 7 device, and it automatically begins synchronising: photos and video taken with the smartphone's camera are imported into iPhoto. Rather than taking responsibility for all your music, photos and video, it relies on iTunes and iPhoto. In fact, it's more like ActiveSync from the Windows Mobile days, a simple bridge between local content and what's on your smartphone. Unlike the full Zune suite for PC, the Mac equivalent – currently in beta – is a far more low-key affair. ![]() Sound quality is also very good, and the virtual surround sound is a decent effect that can help make games more immersive. ![]() The Corsair Void Pro RGB is a good-looking wireless gaming headset, and if you have quite a few Corsair products already, it will fit in well. Overall, the sound quality was very good, with a believable 7.1 virtual surround sound implementation. There are also versions of the Void Pro RGB that come with wires, either USB or analogue, so if you don't want to worry about battery life or range, they may be more suitable. We found that the Void Pro RGB's wireless range was very good, covering pretty much all of the large room we were using it in, although it lost connection when we went into another room. It does have a 7.1 virtual surround processor for adding that effect to other headphones (which can be plugged in via an audio jack), although if you have the Corsair Void Pro RGB you won’t need that feature. If you want to go all-in on the Corsair ecosystem the stand is a nice accompaniment to the Corsair Void Pro RGB, although it doesn’t do very much apart from holding your headset while looking pretty, and also acting as a USB hub. The Corsair ST100 headset stand can be used in conjunction with the Corsair Void Pro RGB, with the RGB lighting matching up between the two devices. There's an auto-shutdown feature that turns the Corsair Void Pro RGB off when not in use, and we rarely found ourselves unable to use the headset due to a dead battery – you just have to remember to plug it into the USB. However, we did find that sometimes when we lowered the mic arm the microphone wouldn’t turn on, which led to a bit of fiddling around in Windows’ sound settings and turning the headset on and off again.īattery life was good. ![]() Volume can be controlled via a dial on the left headphone can, and the mic did a very good job of delivering speech both during gameplay and on video calls, while also keeping background noise to a minimum. Gaming-wise, the Corsair Void Pro RGB performed brilliantly, with punchy and vivid audio and a good use of virtual surround sound a hectic gun battle in Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus was made far more immersive by the sounds of bullets flying past as we played. If you want a headset primarily for listening to music, then this probably isn’t the best choice. Of course, as the EQ settings in the Corsair Utility Engine software show, this is primarily a gaming headset, so the EQ presets are all aimed at gaming, except for one that's for movies. Gaming headsets will often concentrate on delivering skull-rattling low tones to make explosions and other action scenes feel more ‘impactful’, but the Corsair Void Pro RGB is pretty well balanced, with non-gaming media, such as music, coming through well. Sound quality is the most important factor when it comes to headsets, and in this respect the Corsair Void Pro RGB doesn’t disappoint, especially considering its price and the fact that it’s a wireless headset aimed primarily at gamers. If you have other Corsair products, such as the ST100 RBG stand or K95 RGB keyboard, you can also configure them via this app. This software lets you adjust the settings of the Corsair Void Pro, as well as customize its lighting settings. There aren't a huge amount of customization options, but you can choose the color from a wide range, as well as the effect (such as quick blinks, slow breathing, and more). Windows 10 recognized the Corsair Void Pro RGB when we plugged in the wireless adaptor, and we also installed the Corsair Utility Engine software. We tested the wireless version, and all we needed to do was plug the transmitter (which looks like a USB memory stick) into a USB port and turn on the headset, which then paired instantly. Setting up the Corsair Void Pro RGB is pretty straightforward, as it doesn't require an external amp. Overall, the Corsair Void Pro RGB is a very nicely designed headset that manages to balance a stylish design with gaming aesthetics like RGB lighting. The mic can also be adjusted slightly by bending the arm, so you can fine-tune its position for optimum recording quality.Īlso on the left side is a button for muting the mic, a power button for switching the headset on, and a micro USB port for charging the headset. The headset also alerts you via a sound when the mic is raised and lowered, so you’re aware of when the mic is on or off. It’s a nice touch, as putting the arm into the up position mutes the microphone. On the left-hand can sits a mic arm that can be lowered and raised to turn the mic on and off. ![]() ![]() When the day of the hatching finally arrives, the people of the Rain Wilds – among them eleven-year-old Thymara and her father – gather round to witness this historic moment: the moment that will mark the return of dragons to the world for the first time in generations. ![]() Guided by the dragon Tintaglia, a group of sea serpents have made the long journey up the Rain Wild River to the shores of Cassarick, where they have formed the cocoons where they will await their transformation into dragons. It was tempting to go straight to Hobb’s final and most recent trilogy, Fitz and the Fool, but I knew I should keep reading in order of publication as the books do all form part of one larger sequence and it’s possible that things could happen in the Rain Wild series that I need to know before returning to Fitz.Īnyway, Dragon Keeper picks up the story that was set into motion at the end of the Liveship Traders. Although I found the dragon storylines in the earlier trilogies quite enjoyable, I wasn’t sure that I really wanted to read a series in which the dragons would be the main focus – and also, after coming to the end of the Tawny Man books, I just wanted to continue Fitz’s story rather than have to get used to a whole new set of characters. Over the last few years, I’ve read and loved Robin Hobb’s Farseer Trilogy, Liveship Traders Trilogy and Tawny Man Trilogy, but I have to admit that I wasn’t particularly looking forward to reading Dragon Keeper, the first in her four-book Rain Wild Chronicles series. Those games had such a great adventure movie feeling. I wish the series returned to RTCW/Wolfenstein 2009 ideas. Old Blood had cute little RTCW nods, but it was too short and flawed in terms of gameplay and level design. What are your thoughts on the current direction the series has taken? The MachineGames series, TNC and Youngblood especially? I just think that it would be easier to create a proper RTCW feeling using it. COD engine was originally derived from the Return to Castle Wolfenstein version of the Quake 3 engine after all. In my opinion even Black Ops 3 SDK, which I worked with may be enough for a proper remake. WolfETPlayer: Well, COD engine received massive facelift with MW2019 release. Why go for such old engines rather than something like UE5 or id Tech 7 for example? At least for UE5 we know it has a powerful SDK so modding can technically exist for it (if the developer so intends). As for the engine - I would take something similar to the old ID Tech engines - either COD engine or Source. Guys from Splash Damage can handle multiplayer and extend the ideas of Enemy Territory, Brink and Quake Wars. Besides there are still a lot of guys from OG RTCW team working at Treyarch. First two studios could easily create an amazing single player campaign. WolfETPlayer: The dream team for my remake would be Treyarch, Raven Software and Splash Damage. If you were to get the team, money, and permission to do a ground up remake of RTCW on a brand-new engine how would you handle it? It can be really hard, because in most cases your request will just be ignored. You just need the proper game company contact and find someone from the publisher’s staff who can help with processing your request. Since Bethesda was always loyal to mod creators - it was pretty easy for RealRTCW.
